As I commented on another blog yesterday, ideas of career change have been swishing and plopping loud in my mind. I am in a pretty good job, particularly good for the evolution of this blog, but the dissatisfaction due to unproductivity is not worth the lack of sanity I feel with my utterly idle mind, that is soon going to resemble melting cheese at this rate. I don't want to clamber a ladder thats leaning against the wrong wall.
I got in touch with Bayt for some advice, but they said they couldn't dish out any; and to go to another One which I can't name. I wound up sending my CV there, which landed up with someone who apparently knew too many people I knew. I didn't care too much about who he told how much I was making, but never mind common friends- he also knew some of the management from my company. You know that shoot-me-in-the-head-now feeling you get once in a while? Yeah, t'was mine to feel just then.
Anyways, I tried to get my mind off that, and have sent my beautifully consolidated career crisis summary to three career advisors. I hope one in particular replies back, he has an excellent source of articles that have been particularly insightful. Another may just not respond too kindly because I researched his name on facebook and sent him a message about my plight. Heh. He had a kindly face and a cool FB profile pic of him dressed as a Roman gladiator. It might work. In case nothing works, I'm applying for this.

Stopping by from SITS. Hope you get the job you really want.
There's restlessness in the air I think. Good luck with the career change.

Welcome to clogged spot Ms Cupcake & Kimmy! Fingers crossed too!
Gosling thx mate... btw I'm double daring ya that dare :-P
Your mind has to be challenged...otherwise you wake up in 30 years lamenting all the wasted potential. Don't settle...ever.
I'm always up for career changes! The way I see it is, unless you're 50, you're too young to be stuck at a job you dislike. I'm behind you on this decision! You're going to be just fine ;)
Go for the change! And don't worry about what your current employer thinks. If they ain't using you (to your full potential), they deserve to lose you.
:) I'll give it a go. I promise.
